Major Water Infrastructure Investment for Clarence-Rockland and La Nation

Clarence-Rockland, ON – MPP Stéphane Sarrazin for Glengarry—Prescott—Russell visited the Clarence-Rockland Water Treatment Plant today to announce a substantial investment aimed at enhancing water infrastructure for both the City of Clarence-Rockland and the Municipality of La Nation. The provincial government is committing a total of $18,882,459.23 to these critical construction projects.

For the City of Clarence-Rockland, this investment will fund the design and construction of a new main water line. The project will commence at the Caron Street pump station and extend southward along Bouvier Road, reaching beyond Baseline Road. This new infrastructure is set to improve the reliability and efficiency of the city’s water supply system.

In the Municipality of La Nation, the investment will support Phase 2 of the ongoing water line project, which connects the Cheney water tower to the Limoges distribution system. This phase of the project will significantly boost water capacity, ensuring a more reliable and sustainable water supply for the Limoges community. It will also support the area’s growth and development by enhancing the overall water infrastructure.

“Today’s announcement is a testament to our commitment to improving essential services in our communities,” said MPP Stéphane Sarrazin. “I am thrilled to see these projects come to fruition, as they will provide both Clarence-Rockland and La Nation with the infrastructure needed to support their growing populations and ensure a reliable water supply. I want to extend my deepest thanks to everyone involved in these projects. Their dedication and expertise have been instrumental in making these advancements possible.”

These investments are part of the provincial government’s ongoing efforts to support and modernize critical infrastructure across Ontario, ensuring that communities have access to the resources they need to thrive.
